9.40 Extended Vacations Without Pay

 

9.41An employee shall be eligible upon request to an extended vacation without pay and without a break in service subject to the following conditions:

(1)        An employee eligible to a vacation of two, three, four, or five weeks with pay shall be eligible to:

(a)   An additional vacation of one week without pay beginning with the year in which the employee will complete seven years of net credit service.

(b)  An additional vacation of two weeks without pay beginning with the year in which the employee will complete twelve years net credited service.

(2)        There shall be no obligation to grant an extended vacation to an employee in the two calendar years following that in which the employee was granted an extended vacation.

(3)        An extended vacation shall be considered as a part of an employee�s vacation for the purpose of selecting his or her vacation periods.

(4)        The extended vacation provisions described above are not applicable for Operator Services employees, except those assigned to the Pittsburgh and Springfield IOCs.  Any request for an extended vacation by Pittsburgh and Springfield IOC employees shall be made prior to October 15 of the year preceding the year in which the extended vacation period is to be taken

 

 

Compensatory Time

29.25      Group B Employees � All Departments and Administrative Group A Employees

(1)               Equivalent time off with pay may be granted an employee in the current or following calendar week, provided, however, that equivalent time off shall not be granted in the following week to an employee if his or her total work time exceeds 40 hours in the current calendar week.

(2)               If equivalent time off is not granted, compensation shall be at the employee�s gross rate, provided, however, that compensation for time worked in excess of 40 hours in a calendar week by an employee shall be at his or her overtime rate.

(3)               On an authorized holiday, for time worked in excess of a normal tour, at the employee�s holiday overtime rate.

 

 

Meal Allowance

 

31.10 Expense Allowance

 

31.11      Group B Employees, Operations Group A Employees, and Administrative Group A Employees

(1)   When an employee works a period of two or more hours (a) immediately before or after the employee�s scheduled normal tour, (b) immediately before or after a shifted tour on a scheduled day other than an authorized holiday or (c) in excess of a normal tour on a non-scheduled day or an authorized holiday, the employee shall be paid for the convenience of the employer an expense reimbursement of $8.00.  An employee shall be entitled to only one such expense reimbursement per calendar day or per continuous period of work, except that an employee shall be entitled to two such expense reimbursements when an employee works periods of two or more hours immediately before and after the employee�s scheduled normal tour.

(2)   When an employee works up to a normal tour on a non-scheduled day or an authorized holiday, the employee shall not be entitled to an expense reimbursement unless the employee is compensated for such work by equivalent time off.
